Chief Deputy Mike Mozingo Is Guest Speaker At Royal Rangers

On April 6, 2016, The Royal Rangers of Big Creek Baptist Church enjoyed a visit from Wayne County Sheriff's Department Chief Deputy Mike Mozingo. The main topics discussed was safety and drug awareness. Chief Deputy Mozingo spoke with the youth about the importance of saying "NO" to drugs and how difficult dealing with peer pressure could be. Chief Deputy Mozingo provided the young boys with some tactics they could use in dealing with peer pressure. The group also discussed school bus safety and firearm safety. "We as a department believe that it is our duty to invest in these young people because they are so impressionable at this age and they need to know that Law Enforcement is here for them as a friend if they ever need someone to turn to,"said Chief Deputy Mozingo.
