Wayne County Sheriff Jody Ashley released his crime stats for the month of November. WCSD officers responded to 1,879 incidents during the last 30 days. This is down over the month of October. Officers also held 1,,223 premises checks of business and schools in the area.“Wayne County’s major crime rate continues to decline thanks to the brave men and women who have dedicated their lives to protecting our communities,” said Ashley. “While this is good news, we remain diligent in our efforts to ensure Wayne County remains the safest place to live and raise a family,” added Ashley.
