Wayne County Sheriff Jody Ashley released his crime stats for the month of February. WCSD officers responded to 1,050 incidents during the last 28 days. That number is down by 800 incidents over January. Officers also held 556 premises checks of business and schools in the area. “Wayne County’s major crime rate continues to decline thanks to the brave men and women who have dedicated their lives to protecting our communities,” said Ashley.
