Most Wanted Arrested In Meridian

Sammy Lee Austin Holifield who was recently featured on the WCSO Most Wanted page, was arrested by Meridian Police Department at a motel Thursday evening, August 10th 2006. Investigators Mike Mozingo and Kevin Stevens obtained information of Holifield’s whereabouts and coordinated with Meridian Police Department to make the arrest. Holifield was wanted for possession of a stolen firearm as well as possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Wayne County Justice Court Judge Jane Hutto set Holifield’s bonds at $30,000.00 & $20,000.00. The case will be presented to the January 2007 Grand Jury.
