WCSO Charges Man With Stealing Vehicle

On August 20th 2006, at approximately 0845 hours, The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department received a call reporting that a vehicle was stolen from a residence located on the Dew Mills Road. Investigator Mike Mozingo responded and learned that a 1996 Nissian truck was stolen and had been discovered wrecked on the Strengthford Cooley Road. Witnesses identified the driver of the truck as being Toby McLain Jr. Investigator Mozingo collected evidence at the scene and then arrested McLain for felony taking of a motor vehicle.
Wayne County Justice Court Judge Charles Britton Sr. conducted an initial appearance Monday and set McLain a $ 5,000.00 bond. Investigator Mike Mozingo will present the case to the January 2007 Wayne County Grand Jury.
