Three Arrested On Drug Charges Thursday Evening

Robert Vernon Toomey of County Road 3, Millry, Alabama; Gala Shawn Kelley of Delta Drive, Waynesboro, Ms; & Cindy Lynn Malone of Mississippi Drive, Waynesboro, Ms; were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine on Thursday, August 31st 2006. The arrests were a combined effort of the Waynesboro Police Department, South Mississippi Narcotics Task Force, Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, and Mississippi Department of Corrections. The SMNTF also seized a 2000 Ford F-250.
Wayne County Justice Court Judge Charles Britton Sr. set Toomey and Malone a bond for $15,000.00. Kelley’s bond was denied due to the fact the she was free on a previous felony bond. SMNTF Agent Brad Singleton will present the case to the January 2007 Grand Jury.
