Clarke County Deputies Intercepts Approximately 88 Pounds Of Marijuana

Clarke County Deputies Jason Herrington and Bo Davis conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 59 in Clarke County Tuesday, January 30th 2007, around midnight. During the traffic stop, Deputies Herrington and Davis discovered that several duffle bags contained marijuana. Further investigation revealed that there was approximately 88 pounds of marijuana in the vehicle. Two individuals were taken into custody and the case remains under investigation. SMNTF Agent William Satcher assisted in the traffic stop.
 
The SMNTF is comprised of Wayne County Sheriff’s Department, Waynesboro Police Department, Clarke County Sheriff’s Department, Quitman Police Department, and Greene County Sheriff’s Department. Agent Satcher is Quitman Police Department’s Officer assigned to the task force.
