April 17, 2007

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department escorted the Easter Bunny to local kindergartens and Wayne General Hospital this week where children had the opportunity to visit the Easter Bunny. The Easter Bunny Program is made possible by The Easter Bunny Association which is officially endorsed by the National Sheriff’s Association.. This program is available at no cost to Sheriff’s Departments. Wayne County Sheriff’s Department Secretary Sharon Crist was instrumental in enrolling Wayne County Sheriff’s Department in the program in 2006.

The Easter Bunny was accompanied by Sheriff Farrior, Sharon Crist, DeAnn Seeger, Investigator Mike Mozingo, Chief Deputy Gerald Barnett, & Deputy Johnson while visiting Bryant Turner Center, Waynesboro Learning Center, Wayne Academy, First Baptist Church, Little Rock Church, Wayne Academy, Beat Four School, Buckatunna Schoot, Waynesboro Elementary, Clara, as well as Wayne General Hospital. Sheriff Farrior said, I thank Sharon Crist and DeAnn Seeger for putting time into this program. A lot of work went into scheduling the visits and coordinating with The Easter Bunny Association.
