A September 30th 2008, shooting incident on Mineral Springs Road that claimed the life of 18 year old Sedrick Henderson and injured 41 year old Kim Gray remains under investigation and will be presented to the January 2009 Wayne County Grand Jury. Deputies Patrick Johnson, Tim Hollinghead, and Michael Patton along with Investigators Mike Mozingo and Kevin Stevens responded to the scene.

Deputy Johnshon, Investigators Mozingo & Stevens, and Chief Deputy Gerald Barnett continued to interview witnesses through late Friday. Several firearms were recovered during the investigation. The firearms will be submitted to the East Mississippi Crime Laboratory for testing.

The investigation has resulted in Quinton Whitfield, Marco McDougle, being arrested and charged with possession of firearm by a convicted felon. Other arrests are pending locating the individual(s).
