Three Charged In Burglary Of Lacy Drive Home

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department received a call reporting a burglary of a home located on Lacy Drive in the Buckatunna Community on June 20th 2009. Deputies Jason Seeger and Patrick Johnson responded. Physical evidence was gathered at the scene. Two air conditioners, a television, and two pair of shoes were reported stolen from the home.
Deputy Johnson was contacted by an anonymous caller who gave Deputy Johnson the names of the individuals that sold the items that were stolen from the house. Deputies Johnson and Seeger recovered the stolen items and then began looking for the three suspects which turned themselves in at the Sheriff’s Department.
Cartez McDougle, Jamario Chambers, and a fourteen (14) year old Juvenile were charged with burglary of a dwelling. Chambers and McDougle were given an Initial Appearance before Wayne County Justice Court Judge Jane Hutto who set bond for each at $2,500.00. The fourteen year old will be handled in Youth Court. Investigator Stevens will present Chambers’ and McDougle’s case to the January 2010 Grand Jury.
