WCSO & SMNTF Arrest Man For Manufacturing Marijuana

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department and the South Mississippi Narcotics Task Force arrested and charged Timothy David Young with manufacturing marijuana. The case came to attention of law enforcement when an individual contacted Sheriff John Stein Farrior and provided information about an individual growing marijuana on the State Line Battles Road.
Sheriff Farrior, Chief Deputy Gerald Barnett, Investigator Mike Mozingo, and SMNTF Agents Brent Purcell and Joey Moulds arrived at the location Tuesday morning. A total of 45 marijuana plants were discovered at the location.
Timothy David Young was arrested and charged with manufacturing marijuana. Wayne County Justice Court Judge Jane Hutto set Young’s bond at $25,000.00. The case will be presented to the June 2011 Wayne County Grand Jury by the SMNTF.
