Head Lighting Tip Leads To Felon With Firearm Arrest

Early Sunday Morning, January 1010th 2015, The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department received a tip that an individual that was a convicted felon was head lighting deer. Working with a description of a vehicle, Deputies along with Waynesboro Police Department Officers located the vehicle on Azalea Drive in Waynesboro. The driver, Hardy Bilbo Hinton was discovered to be in possession of a firearm. Hinton being a convicted felon he was subsequently charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Wayne County Justice Court Judge Stevie Walker set Hinton’s bond at 12,000. Sheriff Jody Ashley said, “This is a great example of agencies communicating and working together to make our community safe”.
