The Wayne County Sheriff Department teamed up with the Mississippi Game & Warden Fish Officers and executed a drug roundup that resulted in five arrests today (5/31/2016). The roundup began at 5:30 a.m. and involved stops to seven different dwellings in the Wayne County area. Sheriff Jody Ashley along with chief deputy Mike Mozingo, narcotics investigators Johnny Smith and Macy Torrey, investigators Jamey Beard and Shane McIlwain, and deputies Alfred Hill, Fred Daniels and Preston Shedd. Game Wardens Richard Holifield and Jake Guess also teamed up to make the arrests.
- D-Kristopher Richardo Taylor of 824 State Line/Battles. He was charged with controlled substance-sell, transfer, and possession with intent to sale. He also had more than one ounce of marijuana.
- Elmer Lamar Holifield (11/1/1960) of 74 Delta Drive was charged with controlled substance-sell, transfer, distribute and possession with intent to sale.
- Rachel Nicole Allgood (9/17/1993) of 200 Turner Street was charged with controlled substance-sell, transfer, distribute and possession with intent to sale near church or school.
- Alterryal Jawina Harris (6/30/1985) of 1011 Mississippi Drive was charged with sale of cocaine.
- Monica Lynn Maxcey (12/19/1979) of 4 Maxcey Drive of Laurel was charged with controlled substance-sell, transfer, distribute and possession with intent to sale.
