Local, State, & Federal Agencies Take Bank Robber Into Custody

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department assisted the Waynesboro Police Department, The Jones County Sheriff’s Department, The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, The Lamar County Sheriff's Department, and The Federal Bureau of Investigation in the arrest of the individual responsible for Monday’s armed robbery of Region’s Bank of Waynesboro.
Investigator Mark West obtained information from the Jones County Sheriff’s Department, The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation that Nicholas Brackman of Lamar County was the individual that robbed the bank. Waynesboro Police Department Investigator Mark West contacted Sheriff Farrior and requested some logistical assistance in the case. Sheriff Farrior assigned Investigators Mike Mozingo and Kevin Stevens to assist Investigator West. The Lamar County Sheriff’s Department Special Response Team took Brackman into custody at his residence located in Lamar County without incident late Friday night.
