Non-Compliant Sex Offender Arrested In Louisiana

Erica Eve Baer was featured on the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department’s Most Wanted page on August 15th 2006. Bear was wanted for failing to comply with the sex offender registration laws. Baer was previously arrested and charged on July 14th 2006 for moving to Mississippi and failing to register as a sex offender and was released on bond. Bear was then registered as residing at 1003 Hough Street, Waynesboro, Ms.
Waynesboro Police Department Investigator Mark West obtained information on August 1st 2006 that Bear moved from 1003 Hough Street. Further investigation revealed that Baer moved from the address on August 1st 2006. The Department of Public Safety confirmed that Baer failed to provide a new address to the Department of Public Safety. Sex Offenders are required to notify the Department of Public Safety of an address change ten days before the change occurs. A warrant was issued for Baer’s arrest and she was entered into the NCIC as a wanted person.
On August 15th 2006, Gretna Louisiana Police Department arrested Baer and discovered that she was listed as a wanted person in the NCIC. On August 17th 2006, Deputies Mamie Turner and Michael Patton transported Baer to the Wayne County Adult Detention Center
