"Ice" Discovered In Traffic Stop

The South Mississippi Narcotics Task Force, Clarke County Sheriff’s Department, and the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling North on Highway 45. Agents had the vehicle under surveillance for a short time before stopping it just North of Shubuta.
The vehicle was occupied by two Hispanic males. Agents found approximately 455 grams of ice with an estimated street value of $36,000.00. Ice is a form of methamphetamine. Agents seized the vehicle and approximately $1,200.00 cash . The DEA is participating in the investigation which is still on-going.
