Felony Cases Investigated By WCSO See Final Disposition In October Term Of Circuit Court

Several felony criminal cases that were investigated by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department were closed during the October 2006 term of Circuit Court. The following cases were closed via guilty pleas.
- Bobby Wayne Walley pled guilty to sexual battery and sentenced to 10 years MDOC followed by 3 years probation.
- Kala Lecretia Perry Walley pled guilty to sexual battery and sentenced to 3 years MDOC followed by 3 years probation.
- Wendell Scott Pardue pled guilty to arson of a dwelling house and sentenced to 10 years probation and $41,500.00 restitution.
- Bobby Lashawn Smith pled guilty to statutory rape of child under 14 and sentenced to 20 years MDOC.
- Christianna Kay Yanacheak pled guilty to burglary of dwelling and sentenced to 10 years probation.
- Coran Carte Pittman pled guilty to burglary of a dwelling and sentenced to 1 year MDOC followed by 5 years probation and $4,626.69 restittution.
- Bobby Dewayne Smith pled guilty to uttering forgery and sentenced to 6 months MDOC followed by 5 years probation.
- Jerome Brunner pled guilty to sex with inmate and sentenced to 5 years/5 years suspended/5 years probation.
- Jason Lindsey pled guilty to sex with inmate and sentenced to 5 years/5 years suspended/5 years probation.
