Lester Johnson Arrested In Clarke County

Thanks to an anonymous caller one of WCSO’s Most Wanted is in custody. Lester Johnson was arrested by Clarke County Sheriff’s Department on November 22nd 2006. “We have been tracking Johnson for several weeks through information that we were receiving through our Submit a Tip page phone calls”, said Investigator Kevin Stevens. The tip that led to Johnson’s arrest was received by Jail Officer Jamey Beard after lunch Wednesday.
Lester Jarnell Johnson was wanted by the Wayne County Sheriff's Department for a bench warrant issued by Wayne County Circuit Court for Felony Bad Checks. Johnson was out on bond and failed to appear for June 20th court date. Johnson will remain in the Wayne County Adult Detention Center until action by the Circuit Court which will likely be in December 2006.
