Hamilton Charged With Armed Robbery Of Buckatunna Exxon

On February 3rd 2009, The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department arrested and charged Eddie David Hamilton Jr. with armed robbery. Hamilton is charged with the February 2nd 2009 armed robbery of the Buckatunna Exxon. Hamilton fled the scene with a small undisclosed amount of money. Help from the community and evidence gathered at the scene identified Hamilton as the masked robber. Hamilton surrendered at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department Tuesday morning. Hamilton was also charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Wayne County Justice Court Judge Charles Britton Sr. set bonds at $25,000.00 and $5,000.00. Armed robbery carries the maximum of Life Imprisonment and/or $10,000.00. Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon carries the maximum of 10 years and/or $10,000.00. Investigator Kevin Stevens will present the case to the June 2009 Grand Jury.
