Drug Arrest Made At 84 Boat Ramp

About noon on Friday, August 14th 2009, Investigator Mike Mozingo was patrolling at the 84 West River boat ramp. Investigator Mozingo observed an individual that apparently had just urinated in public. Investigator Mozingo approached the individual and upon further investigation discovered Dillon Chase Cochran, W/M of Deveraux Road; Laurel, Mississippi to be in possession of powder cocaine and drug paraphernalia. It appeared that Cochran was preparing to use the cocaine by syringe.
“We will not tolerate individuals coming to use drugs at boat ramps and other places that are set up for family outings” said Sheriff John Stein Farrior. The case will be presented to the January 2010 Wayne County Grand Jury by the SMNTF.
