Ronnie Earl Butler Jr. Arrested For Sex Offender Registration Violation

The Wayne County Sheriff’s Department has arrested and charged Ronnie Earl Butler Jr. with failure to comply with sex offender registration requirements. During the course of an unrelated investigation, Investigator Kevin Stevens discovered that Butler had lived at multiple locations within Wayne County without notifying the Department of Public Safety.
Butler surrendered at the Sheriff’s Department to Investigator Stevens on September 3rd 2009. Butler was charged with failing to comply with sex offender registration law and MDOC has placed a hold on Butler for probation violation. Wayne County Justice Court Judge Charles Britton Sr. set bond at $5,000.00. Investigator Stevens will present the case to the January 2010 Wayne County Grand Jury.
